About This Course

This course provides students with an overview of fundamental concepts of computer networking. Topics to be covered in this course includes: data communication concepts and techniques in a layered network architecture, types of communication,network topologies, network model components, layered network models (OSI reference model, TCP/IP networking architecture) and their protocols, switching,Network congestion, network layer routing, link layer multiple access protocols, MAC addresses and Ethernet, You will also explore common network services and protocols such as email, web services, instant messaging, DNS, HTTP, HTML, SMTP, Telnet, and SSH.

After the End of the Course Students can able to

Build an understanding of the fundamental concepts of computer networking, protocols, architectures, and applications

Gain expertise in design, implement and analyse performance perspective of ISO-OSI layered Architecture

Deal with the major issues of the layers of the model.

Implement new ideas in Networking through semester long projects.
